StyleLab Showcases Rio Tinto Design Winners

Nine winning designs from the Rio Tinto Diamonds Global Design Competition were available for celebrities to wear at the StyleLab jewelry suite in Beverly Hills this past Sunday for the Academy Awards. Rio Tinto assembled the finished jewelry for the red carpet by representing the categories of Champagne Diamonds, Silvermist Diamonds™, Canadian Diamonds, and Sustainable Jewelry for StyleLab.

diamond jewelryWinning designs included the “Desert Rose” bracelet (pictured at the end of the story) designed by Stacey Lindsell and manufactured by Diarough, Uni-Design; “The World of Champagne” earrings designed by Nejal Mehta and manufactured by A’Star Jewelry; “Rain Dance” earrings (pictured right) designed by Michelle Buxani and manufactured by Diarough Hong Kong; “Canoe” necklace designed by Reena Ahluwalia and manufactured by Crossworks Manufacturing; “The Sands of Time” cuff designed by Vijayshree Sovani and manufactured by Interjewel USA; “Nature’s Beauty” cuff designed by Joseph Weinreich and manufactured by Diamond Direct LLC; “The Silvermist Express” bangle designed by Dean Walker and manufactured by Dean Walker Designs; “The Creator” necklace designed by V. Saravanan and manufactured by Tanishq and Foley Designs, and the “Tyger, Tyger” fan designed by Nadia Neuman and manufactured by Mondial.

Celebrities who took the opportunity to try on these winning designs included, Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden, Allison Janney of “The Help,” Tabatha Coffey of BRAVO’s “Tabatha’s Takeover,” and “CSI” actress Barbara Eve Harris.
