Specialty retail jeweler Signet, one of the most popular brand names in the U.S. and UK, reported that stores sales have increased by 9% in 2012 fiscal year, Forbes reported.
The figure represents an improvement on its 2011 sales, which increased by 6.7%, according to Forbes.
Signet sold nearly $3.75 billion worth of jewelry in fiscal 2012, which represents a 5% increase in fiscal 2011. Its e-commerce sales also climbed 36.5%, raking in a total of $92.3 million.
Signet’s gross income for fiscal 2012 jumped 67.1% to $502.1 million, while diluted earnings per share rose 60.8% to $3.73, Forbes reported.
Its store sales in the U.S. increased 11.1% last year, while its UK sales rose 0.9%.
The retailer operates 1,853 specialty jewelry stores, 1,318 of which are in the U.S. It sells its jewelry under store brand names including Kay Jewelers, Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, and other regional branches.
