Radiant Cut Diamonds

The radiant cut diamond designed in 1977 was created to cross the emerald cut diamond with the round brilliant. What was created is an interesting alternative to the very popular princess cut diamond which can be a square or rectangular shape with four long sides and four short. Like the cushion cut diamond the radiant has a flexible design that gives the diamond cutter a very high weight return out of a sometimes difficult shaped rough diamond. The radiant cut diamond is quite an inexpensive shape and if often a popular shape for coloured diamonds because of its compact facets and the ability for the diamond to still sparkle when cut with extra depth.
