Forevermark announced wider roll-out plans for South Africa, with retailers Ntinga and Shemer in Johannesburg, Peter Gilder in Cape Town and Lorraine Efune in both cities offering jewelry featuring Forevermark diamonds.
To celebrate the ongoing expansion of Forevermark across South Africa, the brand held an event hosted by Forevermark’s chief executive, Stephen Lussier. The event also showcased a 35-carat, fancy yellow, marquise-cut diamond, crafted by Forevermark diamantaire Steinmetz Diamonds and worn by South African actress Keabetswe Motsilanyane.
Fashion designer Craig Jacobs, “Rhythm City” actor Jamie Bartlett, television personality Zizo Beda, and celebrity agent Thulane Hadebe where in attendance as well. Guests viewed jewelry creations featuring Forevermark diamonds, including earrings worn by singer Alicia Keys and actress Joely Richardson as well as a bangle worn by Uma Thurman.
Speaking at the event, Lussier said, ”Today, I am delighted to add to the history of the De Beers Group in South Africa. One hundred and twenty years of diamond expertise within the De Beers Group has been channeled into Forevermark, a diamond brand that provides consumers with an unbreakable promise and thanks to this promise, diamonds that they can be proud to give and wear forever.”
Tim Watson, the chief executive of manufacturer Caratco, whose retail outlet Jewel Africa was the first exclusive authorized Forevermark jeweler in South Africa, added, ”We are proud to be in partnership with the De Beers group of companies to bring Forevermark diamonds to South Africa as part of the brand’s global expansion.
”We are continuing the roll-out in this market to select retailers who have a reputation for diamond expertise and passion, which can match the high standards demanded by Forevermark,” Watson said.
